Going Under — cover Novel
Written in 2022

San Fernando Valley, California. Elijah was a real person, albeit with a different name. I met him in 1997, while I was volunteering in a mental institution as a part of my psychotherapy training. I've had many conversations with Elijah throughout those 3 months, and until this day I have no idea if he was really mentally ill or just faking it to avoid prison time.

Going Under

What if you figured out how to get away with 12 counts of cold blooded murder?

Accidents happen.

Twelve people die within a tight radius in the town of Bakersfield. A fire in a school storage room. A fall down an industrial shaft. Local authorities classify the events as extreme misfortune. Investigators find zero physical evidence and no connections.

Flawless retribution looks exactly like bad luck.

Elijah Reese engineered twelve fatal consequences before he was caught. To avoid a cell, he fakes a complete mental collapse. He sits safely inside a psychiatric facility, convincing the staff he has lost his mind. It is the ideal place to hide.

But his work remains unfinished. He has one name left.
